The joint collaboration has resulted in the world’s initial low-cost technology to provide arsenic-free water to people in India and surrounding countries. This week experts from Queen’s will happen to be India to officially open up the Eastern India Drinking water Study Institute in Kolkata. EIWRI will become located at Bengal Engineering and Science University and include a second Indian partner, the Institute of Environmental Studies and Management.
